I got a surprise in the mail Wednesday evening. A double T cake pan. It is basicaly amazing and I cant wait to make a realy cake with it. I had a box of cupcakes in my panty that I decided to use and do a test cake for this weekend. Turns out it was not eough cake mix, but I think it did well. I took it to work for my employees to test out. They loved it and were impressed. I think they underestimate my talents in the kitchen. They never ever want to try anything I bring for lunch but always offer up their lunch to me. OH WELL, their loss.
Here is a pictue of the cake!
I am getting so excited for the game tomorrow. I feel like I could not be any more excited, well maybe if I was able to go to Austin. Don't Kody's bosses know that there is a huge game on tomorrow and that scheduling a meeting at 1PM really allows no one to get to Austin in time to enjoy any festivities? Come on Rodman...be considerate. Only kidding, but we will be in Dallas, so everyone throw down a cold one for me.

The weekend
SO, we had a big weekend his weekend. Chad, Clay and Shelby came to visit. We had big plans to visit Six Flags. Well...that didn't happen. So after my car went missing the was located, we headed out for a rainy day on the town in Frisco.
Humm, what can we do?
So, we started at the mall!
As you can see we decided to skate. Kody did not stick around long enough to be in the picture. Ice skating frustrates him.
I had a huge issue that I overcame to skate with my family. I had to rent skates. Now, that may be silley to some of you, but it isa big deal when you actually have your own skates at the house that are actually worth a crap. Those rental skates were no good and now I understand why all those people fell on their face all the time at public sessions!
We had a wonderful time and Chad "biffed it" a few times! It was also amazing when Clay "ate ice" because Chad came out of nowhere and knocked him over!!! This all happened way too fast to get a picture.
We then decided that bowling would be fun, so we headed to Main Event. Kody came down with "pink eye" and Chad took the position as CHAMPION BOWLER with a big 35 as his score!!! He was "trying" a new technique. New flash for him...It wasn't working! I actually plated well for the first time in my life. I had a 101, but Kody actually won, pink eye and all, with a 116. We all had some pretty amazing shoes as you can see here!
We truly had a wonderful afternoon rain and all. We playd a bunch of video game things at Main Event and got enough points to get fake mustaches!!! We headed back to the house about 7PM and made some delicious lasagna!!! It only took an hour and a half to make. We also aparently wore Kody out because he decided to go to bed first and took Major with him. Who, by the way, was 4 at 12:01AM on Sunday! So, Happy Birthday to him! Here is a little something special for all of you to enjoy.
This is just proof that if you ever need a place to sleep, Major will share his big bed with you. Turns out this was the only sleep Kody got all night. I woke him up to get in bed and he never got back to sleep because of the pain in his eye. I guess I should have left him there with Major. They were both just "sawing them off!"
Everyone very polietely ate the panakes I made the next morning. We only had butter cooking spray because that is all I bought at the emergency run to the store for butter after I already started making the pancakes.
Then everyone left, so Kody, Major and I took a nice nap!!! But as I feared....the family left something behind like we always do...Chad left his golf clubs. So y'all if you talk to Chad tell him that. I just saw them this morning as I was headed to work.

Back in normal heat!
Well, we are back from our trip to Arizona. It was HOT!!! That is an understatement, but I can not really express how hot it was. We had a lovely time. Chad graduated, we are so proud of him for getting finished with college in 4 years.
We started our time in Arizona with some amzing Greek food. I will sure miss that! Then we made our way to the golf course Chad worked at. There were so many bunnies an muskrats everywhere. I think those little animals were muskrats?. The guys golfed 27 holes, I think we drank that many glasses of water! I put on that many ounes of sunscreen, that is for sure. We then got cleaned up and headed out to a bar in Scottsdale for a little party in honor of Chad. I had no idea that the man throwing the party was the owner of the bar!!! No wonder the bottles of Vodka kept coming and he kept opening and pourig the vodka when no one was looking. I guess everyone does that, but still, people kept sitting down at our table talking to him, and I just thought he was so popular. I also got up on the bar for Regina and gave the old wheel a spin. I had to do the moonwalk on top of the bar! That was fun!!! I got really ready to go home really fast once we started nearing that 23 hour of the day we had been awake. We were tired and the DD's of the night. We got to bed at 3:30 their time and 5:30 our time, only to wake up at 7:30 their time so that we knew someone would be available to get the Kohl's from the airport.
Day 2 was filled with family arriving and just relaxing. The Kohl men went at plyed more golf at Gainey Ranch. I sat in the dark hot house!
Day 3 was graduation!!! It was so hot, but it was not too bad because we decided to have Chad come back and take more pictures later. We had a wonderful celebration at dinner that was quickly interrupted by Dave getting sick. Turns out, he had a virus.
Day 4 was kind of random, we got the pictures of Chad, and ate at the delicious Greek resturant again. It was heavenly, just as it was before. I did something I have never done before this day. I went to the horse races and bet on horses. That was fun, but sucked. We obviously lost! Oh and for dinner we ate at a delicious hole in the wall called, The Chuck Box. It was as greasey as it sounds.
Day 5 we had to make our way to a bar to watch the Rockets game. You will see why later. The man there was so nice. He fed us popcorn and huge pizza bites as well as free shots because he felt sorry for us. We got home and Kody got the Virus. SO...I guess I will be sick tomorrow. We will see.
Just a little something interesting, Chad has a girl roomate that kept turning the air conditioner off while we were in there. People, it was 102 outside, why would anyone turn the air OFF??? Aparently she was so cheep she didn't want to pay the bill. Well let me tell you, it is not that expensive to let me sit in your house for a few hours in air conditioning. Oh, and we were sitting in the heat on the last day when all of a sudden the cable goes out. Oh yeah, she turned the cable off on us while we were all there instead of waiting until Monday! We were watching the Houston-Lakers game. We had to go somewhere quick to watch the rest.

Update
So, I hve not writen in a while. I guess everyone needs an update! All 2 of you!!!
Last weekend we went to Austin, just becuse. We didn't really have a reason. This is the first time in my life I have ever gone anywhere out of town just to go. I always have a reason or I just don't go. I don't even go to Longview usless there is a reason. That is just the start of what is going to be a crazy Summertime. We got the message that one of Kody's childhood friends died early Monday morning. He colapsed while fighting a fire. It is terrible to think how quick it can happen and someone can be gone in an instant. Kody learned a lesson in all this. The lesson is, why spend so much time stressing oer possibly losing a job when Conway cannever have another job again. At least we have a job and a life to worry about so why waste it worrying!
So with this news means we are headed back down to Austin tonight, and wont be back until Saturday. Actually I won't be going because our replacement dresser that was orderd a month ago will finally be arriving, either saturday at any time or sunday, so I have to stay home and receive that. My grandmother has decided that for the first time since he middle daughter died that she will come visit Dallas again and come see my home. I can't wait. I have been cleaing like a mad woman. The house will look amazing when she arrives. So that sums up this weekend.
Now on to next week...Can you ever believe how fast time flies? Kody's middle brother will be graduating from Arizona State on Friday. I can not believe how fast that flew by. I mean, just the other day Aubrey was spreading cheese and beans all over her face at Chad's high school graduation lunch!
We will have the next 2 weekends off! Thank goodness!!! I a sure they will get filled up soon. There is always a surprise around the corner.
June is even crazier and talk about fast time...Clay is graduating high school! Clay is Kody's little brother. I met him when he was so young, and can not believe it is time for him to graduate. The scond weekend we will be in Louisianna, I am visiting an old roommate from Kilgore and Kody is celebrating a bachelor party. We are going to New Orleans!!! I have never been! The weekend of the 20th we will be celebrating Kody's birthday since we will be in New Orleans for his real day. Finally, we will end that month with a wedding in Houston for our last groomsman to get married from our wedding!!! I can't believe that either.
July will kick off with a bang! We are going to San Diego. We are going to catch a few baseball games, and I am going to work! FUN I know but hey at least it is in a great city. That trip will keep me in San Diego for 2 weekends! Then I plan on coming home and crashing for few weekends!!!!!
The end for now!

Been a while
So it has been a while, but I decided it is time for an update.
We took some great friends to the Rough Riders game last night and they brught their 1.5 year old little boy with them. We just knew he would not stay interested and would be ready to go after 30 miuntes. Y'all he was more interested in the game than we were. He was so cute, everytime the ball would hit the catchers mit, he would yell, "ewwww!" So stinking cute. He is such a great child. I hope we have that kind of luck with our children when we have them.
We have been super busy lately. We went to Longview for the 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt for old folks. It wasa blast, but we are missing one carrot shaped easter egg with a scratch off lottry ticket in it. Do you know what that means? It means it was the big winner and it just floated off into the big lake to ruin.
I have been traveling a little here and there to sell Smooties clothing. I went to Lubbock Tuesday morning and came back to Dallas Wednesday afternoon. It was so nice being in Lubbock. I got to see some great friends and stay with an amazing couple. I also sold a few pieces of clothing. Everyone really liked what we had to offer, but being that it was a lot of sororities formal week, it was hard to get the girls attention on me and off the invites.
I guess that will be all for now. I have to go take Norma's place on the floor since she is going home. Have a great weekend!

It's a tacky Christmas

Well we had the only Christmas party we will probally go to this year this past weekend. It was a tacky christmas sweater party. The pics are for you Jenn so you can see how cute we were.
We all ate too many cookies, and I can't believe I would say this, but I hope I don't see a cookie for a while. We also made some new friends. They were country folk. They did not get in the pictures, but that's ok.
