Jobless and at home all day

So, lately I have been a lot less busy. SInce I have been laid off for about 3 months now I am starting to go crazy! So I decided to fill my time with something that has needed to be done since the day we moved in the home. I am painting!

I hate painting!!!

Here is the dinning room and if you notice it has a new table in it!!! We have wanted it for 3 years. I love it! No chairs yet, they will come one day.

The living room looks amazing! I feel so warm and cozy in it in the evenings.

This little bathroom was the hardest room to paint so far.

I got a new bath mat for the floor in here, it is not as light and will not show dirt! I think this is just so precious.

I will show y'all more later! If you will notice, we only have the kitchen and master left to paint downstairs, then we get to tackle the battle of the stairwell.

Catfish Parlour

We had a wonderful time with the family tonight as Catfish Parlour for Nawnee's birthday party. We had some catfish as well as some delicious hushpuppies, but best of all we got to catch up on some time with this little guy.

It was a wonderful night and I got some deliciou red velvet cake! I love red velvet cake. I could eat it everyday.

Here is a picture of little Blake with big Kody.

Baby, it's cold outside

Well, I got suckered into going to another football game this year to watch all these guys I don't even know play. Last game it was cold and I didn't realize it would be so cold so I didn't dress appropriately. This time, I was told we were going to a game in San Antonio. I was thought how sweet it would be because we would be in the Alamodome.

I WAS WRONG!!!

We were headed to a game outside and it was freezing. I didn't bring enough clothes to wear to sit outside in the rain for 3 hours. Fortunately we had a poncho or two. Here are a few pictures!

Myrtle

Well, as you all know I hit a construction barrell with my car, and I had to get it fixed. Well, they gave me a sweet rental car, but it was not such a sweet color. Here in this picture the car looks brownish, but it was purply in the light of day. IDK? Anyway, this car was SWEET! I had a doplar radar in the car as well as weather reports for the near future. It had a push start as you can see, as well as a heat sensored door handle on the drier side. The door would unlock once it sensed the heat of your hand if you had the "key" in your pocket. It was pretty much amazing!!!

Woops!

Well, I don't really know how I did this, but I did it. I hit a consturction barrel and hurt my car, BAD! I did not have any body damage, but what I did damage is going to cost me $425 and no David Yurman bracelete for Christmas. DANG IT!

It now has a super cool twill tape wrap holding the mirror on for dear life until Thursday. On the positive side, my car is really clean because I had to clean all the orange off the side of it.

Let's go TECH!!

I got a surprise in the mail Wednesday evening. A double T cake pan. It is basicaly amazing and I cant wait to make a realy cake with it. I had a box of cupcakes in my panty that I decided to use and do a test cake for this weekend. Turns out it was not eough cake mix, but I think it did well. I took it to work for my employees to test out. They loved it and were impressed. I think they underestimate my talents in the kitchen. They never ever want to try anything I bring for lunch but always offer up their lunch to me. OH WELL, their loss.

Here is a pictue of the cake!

I am getting so excited for the game tomorrow. I feel like I could not be any more excited, well maybe if I was able to go to Austin. Don't Kody's bosses know that there is a huge game on tomorrow and that scheduling a meeting at 1PM really allows no one to get to Austin in time to enjoy any festivities? Come on Rodman...be considerate. Only kidding, but we will be in Dallas, so everyone throw down a cold one for me.

The weekend

SO, we had a big weekend his weekend. Chad, Clay and Shelby came to visit. We had big plans to visit Six Flags. Well...that didn't happen. So after my car went missing the was located, we headed out for a rainy day on the town in Frisco.

Humm, what can we do?

So, we started at the mall!

As you can see we decided to skate. Kody did not stick around long enough to be in the picture. Ice skating frustrates him.

I had a huge issue that I overcame to skate with my family. I had to rent skates. Now, that may be silley to some of you, but it isa big deal when you actually have your own skates at the house that are actually worth a crap. Those rental skates were no good and now I understand why all those people fell on their face all the time at public sessions!

We had a wonderful time and Chad "biffed it" a few times! It was also amazing when Clay "ate ice" because Chad came out of nowhere and knocked him over!!! This all happened way too fast to get a picture.

We then decided that bowling would be fun, so we headed to Main Event. Kody came down with "pink eye" and Chad took the position as CHAMPION BOWLER with a big 35 as his score!!! He was "trying" a new technique. New flash for him...It wasn't working! I actually plated well for the first time in my life. I had a 101, but Kody actually won, pink eye and all, with a 116. We all had some pretty amazing shoes as you can see here!

We truly had a wonderful afternoon rain and all. We playd a bunch of video game things at Main Event and got enough points to get fake mustaches!!! We headed back to the house about 7PM and made some delicious lasagna!!! It only took an hour and a half to make. We also aparently wore Kody out because he decided to go to bed first and took Major with him. Who, by the way, was 4 at 12:01AM on Sunday! So, Happy Birthday to him! Here is a little something special for all of you to enjoy.

This is just proof that if you ever need a place to sleep, Major will share his big bed with you. Turns out this was the only sleep Kody got all night. I woke him up to get in bed and he never got back to sleep because of the pain in his eye. I guess I should have left him there with Major. They were both just "sawing them off!"

Everyone very polietely ate the panakes I made the next morning. We only had butter cooking spray because that is all I bought at the emergency run to the store for butter after I already started making the pancakes.

Then everyone left, so Kody, Major and I took a nice nap!!! But as I feared....the family left something behind like we always do...Chad left his golf clubs. So y'all if you talk to Chad tell him that. I just saw them this morning as I was headed to work.
